Who We Are

The first person a student likely sees in the morning is their bus driver. At MEA, we know Education Support Professionals are the people who are on the front lines of a student's education. You make the school run smoothly, and when you are a member you are never alone. As ESP, you make teaching and learning possible. That's why the Association strives to provide you with the support you need to be great at what you do.

Advocating for ESP

From the local to the national level, MEA has led the way for ESP in organizing new units and increasing ESP membership size. The larger the membership, the greater the voice our ESP will have in the workplace--we are stronger together. MEA is dedicated to negotiating contract improvements and achieving legislation in all areas of terms and conditions of employment. MEA has worked to ensure school districts don't privatize services in many school districts across the state, keeping jobs local with trusted employees our students know. In addition to support at the state and local level, MEA ESP have a voice at the national level as well.

NEA provides a host of resources for ESP.
