How Do New Laws Apply To You?
December 9 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm ESTFree
As I get older it feels as if time passes more quickly! We were just starting school a few days ago…and now it’s the Holiday season. So much has happened at the State level, as I am sure you all can share incidents at your local level…so I would like to invite you to a Leadership Meeting on Monday, December 9th, at Mainely Mexican, in Presque Isle to share some of that information.
This meeting will be for all Support Staff members and Presidents if you are interested in joining us! We will be overviewing the legislative changes from this past session and how those changes apply to you at your work place.
I am excited to welcome Dan Allen, our Director of Professional Development, as well as my predecessor in what was then District 16. Dan will be reviewing LD 1370, an act to address dangerous behavior in the classroom. If you would like to learn more about this bill, this would be a great time to come and ask questions and share your concerns in how this affects your job.
Since it is so close to the Holidays, I will only be having one meeting, rather than my usual three. I apologize for those who will have to travel! We will pay for mileage, especially if you can encourage several other members to join you on your travels! The more the merrier!
