Any educator with a bachelor’s degree\, active teaching certificate\, and 3 years teaching/school counseling experience is eligible for certification. \nAs part of your membership\, MEA offers FREE\, virtual workshops to guide you through the NBCT process. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nNational Board Certification is the most respected professional credential available in education. Any educator with a bachelor’s degree\, active teaching certificate\, and 3 years teaching/school counseling experience is eligible for certification. \nAs part of your membership\, MEA offers FREE\, virtual workshops to guide you through the NBCT process. Participants who complete all sessions will receive 15 CEUs. \nThese workshops are for:\n\nPotential NBCT candidates seeking more information\nNBCT candidates working toward certification\nNBCT renewal candidates\n\n2022-2023 Dates\nAll sessions will be held virtually and will run from 9 AM-2PM. You must attend each workshop. DESCRIPTION:How to effectively use your grievance procedures.\n\n\nThis will be a two-session training that will help you determine when you have a grievance\, how to effectively advocate\, and defend not only your members\, but your contract. This training is structured to be a great refresher to veterans and a comprehensive introduction to our newer union leaders. Shake it up a little – involve some new folks! Think about those folks who know who is who in your school\, people who network naturally\, and who appreciate the union and the work we do together. \nAttendees will bring back a whole new set of membership tools and resources to re-invigorate your Local’s membership campaign. I’m excited to get started working on it with you! \nDinner will be provided. \nPlease plan to bring your personal laptop or tablet.
