Join MEA members, family and friends in Augusta on April 17 at 9am to help make a difference and move our profession forward! There are hearings that day on LD 900—the right to strike—and LD 1370—to protect educators from assaults.
MEA and its members will meet at 9 a.m. for a briefing (come early and get your MEA red t-shirt if you need one—first come, first served!), attend a morning hearing, gather for a rally and a press event, have lunch, attend an afternoon hearing, and talk to legislators about LD 240—the bill that would give educators the right to negotiate important issues that affect our working conditions and students’ learning conditions.
