What is leadership like in your school? Are you a leader?
At the September MEA Board meeting, the Board voted to partner with Teach to Lead Maine, a group that has been working on promoting teacher leadership. We would like to learn more about what leadership is like in your school and will be conducting a short survey to local presidents soon. The group is also planning some professional development events, like the one they held last spring, a “Powered by…” event where teams of teachers from several districts came together to work on an issue they each selected and developed an action plan to improve some aspect of teaching and learning in their schools. Look for more information on this later this year.
