Together We Win…When MEA
Members Are in the State House!
The Legislature is expected to be in session through April.
Our ability to successfully lobby for our priorities will depend entirely on our ability to have MEA members in the State House and in their communities talking with legislators about these priorities.
To that end, this year MEA will host regular visits of MEA members in the State House. We will connect with your legislators and talk to them about our key priorities. If you have never lobbied in the State House before, MEA staff will be there to support you.
Visits will take place in small groups of three to four members each Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the State House. The MEA will cover mileage, and members are encouraged to check their contracts to determine whether an association leave day or a personal leave day may be used to attend.
