The MEA Learning & Leading Conferences are your opportunities to be sure you have the tools necessary to do your absolute best this year. These conferences are free for members. Maine Commissioner of Education Pender Makin will do the keynote at our Southern Maine Community College event on November 2, where she’ll talk about strategies you can use to take care of yourself and overcome the stresses of life as an educator.
These events include sessions on topics such as helping at-risk students, social-emotional learning, growth mindset, and restorative practices. We’ll also have sessions on leadership in your association like Union 101, Organizing for Power, and Bargaining for the Common Good.
