Students receive grades, and this is the time MEA gives out its grades—to our Maine lawmakers in our 2021 Scorecard. As you know, MEA advocates for policies and investments that ensure that our voice, values and priorities are heard and respected both in the workplace and at the statehouse. This mission has been vital during the pandemic, and some lawmakers supported educators and others, not so much.
The MEA 2021 Scorecard is a completely objective look at each lawmaker and how they voted on key public education issues. MEA created a searchable database to make it easier for you to find your lawmaker to help you make an informed decision, helping you better understand who votes for policies that support our public schools and who does not.
