The MEA Members of Color Committee met this past Committee Day; the Committee was established this year by the MEA President as an ad hoc committee charged with making recommendations to the MEA Board of Directors in order to help inform MEA’s work on issues concerning racial equity in our Association and in our public education system.
The co-chairs of the Committee co-facilitate biweekly conversations for MEA members of color. All MEA members who have indicated they belong to an ethnic minority are invited to these ongoing conversations—the committee welcomes your participation! The next meeting is scheduled for January 21st. Invitations will go out shortly with an email link to join.
