The MEA of Board of Director’s reviewed the items coming before the 2019 MEA Representative Assembly (proposed amendments to the MEA Constitution/Bylaws/Standing Rules and Resolutions, New Business Items, and transmitted the proposed Strategic Budget); heard an informative presentation by the Executive Director, Sandy Matheson, of the retirement system, MePERS; heard a presentation by UMO Professor Seth Campbell on the Juneau Icefield Research Program (see below for more information); and discussed proposed legislation on ‘remote school days’, among other things.
