MEA is thrilled to host the Read Across Maine contest again this year. Encourage students to develop a love for reading, explore reading different genres, and improve reading skills.
This year, every classroom participating in Read Across Maine will have a chance to win one of three $500 gift certificates to purchase books for their classrooms.
Plus, one lucky classroom will also receive a set of The Acadia Files, a book series written by MEA member Katie Coppens!
How to Participate:
Download Your BINGO Card: Visit our website to find three different leveled BINGO cards (pre-k-3, 4-8, and 9-12). Choose the appropriate card for your students.
Complete the Challenge: Encourage students to complete as many “BINGO” rows as they can.
Submit Your Entries: At the end of the contests, educators will submit their classroom’s BINGO cards and fill out our Read Across Maine form. Educators submit a quick 300‑word (or less!) essay about Read Across Maine’s impact on your students, and your classroom will be entered into the contest.
To be considered for a prize, enter to win by April 3, 2026!
