All over Maine, schools are struggling to find qualified teachers. If we want high quality public schools in every community, we need high quality teachers in every school.
Please ask them to prioritize funding and passing LD 34: An Act to Increase the Minimum Salary for Teachers. While pay is not everything, it is an extremely important component of recruiting new teachers into the profession, and retaining our early career educators.
