This November, voters in our state and in our country will have the opportunity to elect new leaders from White House to State House to local school board. MEA members have thoroughly evaluated and vetted the candidates running in Maine and we are pleased to offer you the recommendations below. This election is critical for public schools. We know we need to elect leaders who will promote, protect and improve public education in our state and in our country. To that end, we recommend MEA members please consider voting for the following candidates:

All 151 seats are up in the State House and all 35 seats are up in the State Senate. Who we elect to represent us in Augusta will have a huge impact on whether we can continue to make progress for educators and students or whether we will need to spend all our time and efforts stopping bad policies and proposals from moving forward. Our state legislature has a huge influence on our public schools. Please be sure to vote for candidates who are committed to our local public schools here in Maine.
