Lead, Promote, Secure, Defend!

This will be a two-session training that will help you determine when you have a grievance, how to effectively advocate, and defend not only your members, but your contract. This training is structured to be a great refresher to veterans and a comprehensive introduction to our newer union leaders. You must be able to commit to both dates.
Dates: Tuesday, April 25 and Tuesday, May 2nd.
Time: 4:30pm-7:00pm
Location: Warsaw Middle School

Pittsfield, ME
Topics will include but not be limited to:
• What is a grievance?
• When and how to file a grievance (or not)?
• Past Practice
• Grievances and the law
• Types of disputes
• Developing your position
• Writing the grievance
• Settlements
Dinner will be provided.
