MEA is pleased to have a distinguished keynote speaker whose exceptional work has made an indelible mark on the landscape of LGBTQ+ rights and legal advocacy. 

Mary L. Bonauto, a trailblazing attorney with a remarkable career spanning over three decades, has emerged as a relentless force in the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ equality. Her unwavering commitment and tireless dedication have earned her a place of prominence within GLAD (GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders) since 1990. 

Throughout her career, Mary Bonauto has been a beacon of inspiration, blazing a trail for social justice and equal rights. Ms. Bonauto’s keynote will shed light on the countless lives transformed through advocacy, and how we, as educators, can help support all our students as we create safe spaces to learn and grow.
